Tracker the Therapy Dog died this past weekend. She left us with her soft, gentle spirit intact. She left us with memories of how she earned Westlake Volunteer of the Year. She brought smiles, comfort and joy to all those she visited in the nursing homes as an ambassador for Busch Funeral and Crematory Services. Patients, families and staff will miss her quiet, steadfast presence. Thank you Tracker for teaching us that sometimes we need no words, just a loyal friend.
Tracker was owned and trained by Karin Shulin. Busch offers Therapy dogs for families to have here at the funeral home during visitations or services to provide comfort for the bereaved. The dogs also visit nursing homes and senior centers wearing Busch bandanas. Tracker was honored as Westlake Volunteer of the Year several times.
