The Whole Town Grieves
When Loss Affects an Entire Community
ADEC Webinar Wednesday, January 16
Bill Hoy is presenting a web seminar (webinar) on dealing with the aftermath of public tragedy and crisis this Wednesday, January 16. This program is part of the ongoing continuing education series of the Association for Death Education & Counseling (ADEC) and costs just $ 59 for ADEC members ($79 for non-members). As an added bonus, for $ 20 you can add the purchase of a recording to review and share with your staff and colleagues.
Drawing from contemporary research and clinical practice, Dr. Hoy will explore eight practical principles for supporting communities in the face of public tragedies–whether accompanied by violence (such as a mass shooting) or through the death of a widely-loved and esteemed member of the community. The webinar will explore issues related to the media and will interpret widely-accepted principles for counsel and support with bereaved individuals to the task of caring for an entire community.
The 90-minute program begins at Noon (Central time). Learn more about this webinar and get registration details here.
